Meet the Experts
Sheldon G. Holstad, Pharm.D.
At Drug Digest, Sheldon serves as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist. He also is Professor of Pharmacy Practice at St. Louis College of Pharmacy, where he has been a faculty member since 1987. Additionally, Sheldon holds an adjunct appointment as Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy with the Department of Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine. Sheldon previously maintained a clinical practice in psychiatric pharmacotherapy at The Jewish Hospital of St. Louis. He has published numerous biomedical articles, most of which focus on his research interests of neuro- and psychopharmacology.
Sheldon earned his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy. He continued his training by completing a post-graduate Psychopharmacology Research Fellowship at the University of Iowa. He was recognized for academic achievement with induction into the Rho Chi Pharmaceutical Honor Society, and was presented with the SKF Award for Superior Achievement in Clinical Pharmacy as well as the Eli Lilly Clinical Achievement Award.
In his free time, Sheldon enjoys computers, cooking, home repair and remodeling. Back
