What are the risk factors?
Risk factors are
characteristics that may increase your chance for developing a condition. Risk
factors for PUD include:
- H. pylori infection
- High-dose or multiple NSAID use
- Age older than 60
- Previous ulcer or GI bleeding
- Cigarette smoking
- Corticosteroid use
- Anticoagulant use
- Family history of PUD
