Bacterial Infection
What are the risk factors?
If you have any of
the following, you are at risk for a bacterial infection:
- skin abrasions
- breaks in mucous membranes
- inadequate sanitation
- lack of vaccinations
- surgery or chemotherapy
- a weakened immune system, either from medications or diseases, such as
cancer or AIDS
